9E Global in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector – Site to join our growing team. You will inspect and monitor mechanical works on site, ensuring installations meet approved drawings, specifications, method statements, applicable codes, and project requirements.

The role includes witnessing testing and commissioning for HVAC, ventilation, chilled water, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, compressed air and related equipment, identifying defects and NCRs,

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/building services Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction supervision with a consultancy.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect HVAC and mechanical systems for proper installation and quality.
  • Review drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
  • Check and respond to Inspection Requests (IRs).
  • Inspect ductwork, pipework, equipment, supports, and insulation.
  • Witness pressure testing, flushing, balancing, testing, and commissioning.
  • Identify defects, NCRs, and non-conforming works and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Monitor contractor workmanship, materials, resources, and progress.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, consultants, and project managers.
  • Check mechanical works for access, safety, and maintenance requirements.
  • Review RFIs, technical submissions, test results, and inspection records.
  • Coordinate mechanical interfaces with electrical, structural, architectural, BMS, and fire systems.
  • Maintain inspection reports, site records, progress updates, and photos.
  • Monitor and close snagging and punch-list items.
  • Review as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documents.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, HSE requirements, codes, and UAE regulations.
  • Attend site, progress, quality, and commissioning meetings.

We're Hiring | Mechanical Inspector – Site


9E Global is looking for an experienced Mechanical Inspector – Site to join our growing team in the UAE.


The role will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring mechanical works on site, ensuring that installations are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, applicable codes, and project requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor workmanship, quality, progress, and compliance throughout the construction phase.


The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting site inspections and witnessing testing and commissioning activities for mechanical systems, including HVAC, ventilation, chilled water, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, compressed air, and associated mechanical equipment. The role will also involve identifying defects and non-conforming works, reviewing inspection requests and test records, following up on corrective actions, and supporting the successful completion and handover of the project.


Qualifications


  • A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/building services Engineering.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction supervision with a consultancy.

  • Develop a network of contacts on each contract. Concentrate on developing a unified commitment of excellence in dealing with site and design team colleagues.

Engineering Function


  • Agree design philosophy/design fundamentals.

  • Review and comment on deliverables produced by Engineers & Technicians at key stages through a project.

  • Demonstrates all round technical competence.

  • Have knowledge of concept design, buildability, detailed design, construction techniques, procurement routes, risk assessment and claim assessment.

  • Have knowledge of analytical concepts.

  • Should be responsible for Quality Management (QA) for their team.

  • Have knowledge of our delivery in CAD standards and 3D working.


QHSE Responsibilities


  • Understand, implement and follow 9E QHSE policies.

  • Implement and coordinate QHSE procedures in your workplace.

  • Comply with local regulatory authority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.

  • Report any QHSE incidents immediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required.

  • Abide Client/Contractor QHSE requirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
