Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer – Dry Utilities to join our Abu Dhabi project team. The role focuses on supervising the construction of dry utility networks, including electrical, telecom, and street lighting, and coordinating with authorities and contractors.

You will review drawings and method statements, monitor quality, and manage site activities across multidisciplinary interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years of infrastructure and dry utilities experience.
• Experience in infrastructure and dry utilities construction.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, telecom, street lighting and utilities.
• Experience supervising construction, inspections, QC, and contractor coordination.
• Understanding of drawings, specifications, ITPs, and technical submissions.
• Experience on major infrastructure projects preferred.
• UAE infrastructure/Authority experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and manage multiple site activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor dry utility construction (electrical, telecom, lighting).
• Oversee construction activities including ducts, chambers, manholes, cable routes.
• Ensure works follow drawings, specs, method statements, ITPs.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and other technical documents.
• Monitor site progress, quality, and compliance.
• Coordinate with Contractor, Authorities, utilities, stakeholders.
• Monitor testing and inspections of dry utilities.
• Identify issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Coordinate interfaces with roads, wet utilities, structures, landscaping.
• Review site conditions and provide technical recommendations.
• Maintain records of inspections and activities.
• Participate in site and coordination meetings.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental, quality on site.
