Job summary

AECOM Middle East Ltd in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Inspector - Dry Utilities to support a major infrastructure project. You will perform daily site inspections of electrical, telecom, street lighting and related networks, verify installations against drawings, specs and ITPs, and coordinate with engineers and contractors.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and practical experience with dry utilities and construction.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in dry utilities and infrastructure construction.
• Experience inspecting dry utility installations and related activities.
• Strong knowledge of drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and procedures.
• UAE infrastructure and Authority experience preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor dry utility construction works (electrical, telecom, street lighting).
• Conduct daily site inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specs, ITPs and project requirements.
• Inspect ducts, chambers, routes, sleeves, crossings and related infrastructure works.
• Review Inspection Requests and verify readiness for inspection.
• Monitor materials, workmanship, alignment, levels and duct arrangements.
• Witness and inspect testing activities for dry utilities and related works.
• Verify lines, levels, duct routes, chamber locations and other construction requirements.
• Check activities against approved shop drawings and specs.
• Identify defective/non-compliant work and coordinate corrective actions with Engineer/contractor.
• Monitor contractor compliance with method statements, ITPs and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with surveyors for setting out, levels and interfaces.
• Support coordination between electrical, telecom, roads, wet utilities and other disciplines.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation; participate in site meetings.
• Assist Engineer in monitoring progress and quality of works; ensure safety and environmental compliance.
