Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Inspector – Dry Utilities to join our project team. You will inspect electrical, telecom, street lighting, and utility networks, ensuring works meet drawings, specs, ITPs, and project requirements.

You'll coordinate with engineers, contractors, and surveyors, review IRs, monitor material quality, and support health and safety while maintaining thorough inspection records on site.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in dry utilities and infrastructure construction.
• Knowledge of electrical, telecom, street lighting, ducts and chambers.
• Experience inspecting dry utility installations and infrastructure works.
• Understanding of drawings, specifications, ITPs and inspection procedures.
• UAE infrastructure experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor dry utility construction works including electrical, telecom, street lighting and associated networks.
• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure works comply with approved drawings and project requirements.
• Inspect installation of utility ducts, chambers, manholes, cable routes and related works.
• Review Inspection Requests (IRs) and ensure readiness for inspection.
• Monitor materials quality, workmanship, levels, duct arrangements and protection of networks.
• Witness testing activities as required for dry utility installations.
• Coordinate with surveyors and other disciplines for correct setting out and interfaces.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and participate in site meetings.
