Role: Senior BIM CAD Technician - Utility Modelling
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Industry: Civil Engineering
Function: CAD-Drafting
Experience: Minimum 10 years
Job Type: Full-time
Country: United Arab Emirates
City: Dubai
Salary: 15000-22000

Candidate Nationality: Any
The position serves as a technical production and coordination resource within multidisciplinary infrastructure design teams. Working across wet utilities, dry utilities, roads, and associated infrastructure interfaces, the Senior BIM CAD Technician will transform engineering inputs into coordinated models and construction-ready design documentation. Particular emphasis is placed on utility pipe network modelling, clash management, LOD compliance, model-based reviews, and controlled information exchange. Reliable execution of these activities helps expose conflicts before construction, improves design integration, and supports efficient client and authority submissions.
The position requires a Bachelor 's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering. Applicants should bring a minimum of 10 years of CAD drafting and BIM experience in the Middle East or UAE, supported by substantial work on wet and dry utility infrastructure. At least 3 years of hands‑on utility pipe network modelling experience is required. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Navisworks is essential. Working knowledge of MicroStation is preferred. Candidates should be experienced in Common Data Environment usage and management, particularly Autodesk Forma and Bentley ProjectWise for controlled model production. Strong knowledge of BIM processes and LOD requirements is necessary, together with practical experience in clash detection, issue management, and model-based design review. Infrastructure experience should include preparation of wet and dry utility models, layouts, right-of-way information, routing plans, and cross sections. Knowledge of DEWA, Dubai Municipality, and RTA standards is important for coordinating infrastructure designs and existing utilities within Dubai. Familiarity with ISO19650 and structured BIM information management practices will be advantageous. The role requires strong English communication, careful technical judgment, effective coordination skills, and the ability to manage several project deliverables against concurrent deadlines.
Utility-heavy infrastructure projects in Dubai increasingly depend on accurate digital models to coordinate congested corridors, existing services, road interfaces, and authority requirements before work reaches construction. This position places the successful candidate within that critical coordination process, providing meaningful responsibility for model quality, clash resolution, information control, and infrastructure design readiness. Working with Parsons Corporation also provides exposure to multidisciplinary engineering expertise and established digital delivery practices across major infrastructure assignments. Senior BIM and CAD professionals can broaden their capability in utility network modelling, Common Data Environment management, ISO-aligned workflows, and advanced infrastructure coordination while continuing to build their careers in Dubai 's active engineering market.
Parsons Corporation delivers engineering, infrastructure, transportation, and technology solutions for complex projects worldwide. Its UAE operations bring together civil engineering, digital design, BIM, project management, and construction expertise to support major roads, utility networks, community developments, and other critical infrastructure programs.
