Role Context The BIM CAD Technician - Utility Networks will provide digital drafting and modeling support for wet and dry utility infrastructure projects. The role connects engineering design information with coordinated BIM deliverables, helping project teams convert technical concepts, sketches, calculations, and design inputs into precise models and drawings. Working alongside BIM Leads, Design Leads, and Engineers, the technician will maintain model consistency throughout the project lifecycle. Careful management of geometry, levels of development, coordination interfaces, and model data will contribute to better constructability, fewer design conflicts, and more reliable information for engineering and construction teams.
Ideal Profile Candidates should hold a Bachelor 's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from an accredited university or institution. A minimum of 4 years of relevant CAD drafting experience within the Middle East or UAE is required, particularly on wet and dry utility projects. The position requires confident working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Navisworks. Practical experience with Common Data Environment platforms such as ProjectWise and BIM360 is also important.
