Job summary

Fairmont The Palm in Dubai seeks an experienced Sales professional to drive group and banquet business, meet sales targets, and maintain key accounts. Leverage established DMC and corporate contacts to secure international groups and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires 5-star hotel sales experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance operational and administrative tasks while collaborating with Catering & Conference Service teams.

Qualifications

• 5-star hotel sales experience is required.
• Established contacts with local DMCs and corporate accounts; international groups a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; highly accountable and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Meet the sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
• Solicit groups and banquet business through action plan preparation and execution.
• Establish quotes based on group pricing strategy, confirming by written contracts.
• Manage RFP inquiries through Lanyon, Cvent and Meeting Broker platforms.
• Maintain accounts, contact, activity and business details within Anais.
• Collaborate with Catering & Conference Service to ensure contract delivery and guest satisfaction.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.

Job Description

• Meet the sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.

• Work closely with the Catering & Conference Service Department to ensure all details of the contract were delivered and guests depart satisfied.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports, as required.
• Balance operational, administrative and heartists needs.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous 5-star hotel sales experience is required.
• Established contacts with local DMC’s & corporate accounts required. Experience with international groups a plus.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and/or relevant computer applications required.
• University/College degree in a related discipline preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly accountable and reliable.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
