Job summary

Fairmont The Palm in Dubai is seeking a skilled Luxury Hotel Sales professional to drive group and banquet business through strategic planning and strong client relationships.

You will manage RFPs via Lanyon, Cvent, and Meeting Broker, maintain client accounts, and collaborate with Catering & Conference Services to ensure flawless events and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in selling to luxury audiences and groups is required.
• Established contacts with local DMCs and corporate accounts, international groups a plus.
• Must be able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Highly accountable and reliable with a guest-first approach.
• Ability to stay composed and courteous while addressing guest needs.

Responsibilities

• Meet the sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
• Solicit groups and banquet business through action plan preparation and execution.
• Establish quotes based on group pricing strategy, confirming by written contracts.
• Manage RFP inquiries through Lanyon, Cvent and Meeting Broker platforms.
• Maintain accounts, contact, activity and business details within Anais.
• Collaborate with Catering & Conference Service to ensure contract details are delivered and guests depart satisfied.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.
• Balance operational, administrative and heartists needs.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous 5-star hotel sales experience is required.
• Established contacts with local DMC’s & corporate accounts required. Experience with international groups a plus.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and/or relevant computer applications required.
• University/College degree in a related discipline preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly accountable and reliable.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
