Job summary

Metric, an established international financial services organisation, seeks a senior commercial leader to head its Securities Services client management function across the Middle East and North Africa. The role offers high-profile accountability for strategic relationships, revenue growth and P&L performance across GCC and Egypt, with expansion into selected Asian markets.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of senior experience within financial services, ideally across Securities Services, custody, clearing, asset servicing or related institutional banking businesses.
• A proven track record of managing senior institutional client relationships and delivering measurable revenue growth, client retention and wallet penetration.
• Demonstrable experience of P&L ownership, commercial strategy and managing a complex client portfolio.
• Strong understanding of Securities Services products, including global custody, direct custody and clearing, fund administration, middle-office outsourcing and securities finance.
• Experience leading senior client-facing teams across relationship management, service delivery, RFPs or client transitions.
• The ability to influence senior stakeholders across Sales, Product, Operations, Legal and Compliance.
• Strong commercial judgement, negotiation skills and executive-level communication.
• Regional experience across the GCC and/or wider Middle East markets would be advantageous, alongside exposure to international institutional clients.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Leadership: Take ownership of the existing client portfolio's financial performance, driving revenue growth, profitability, client retention and increased wallet share.
• Strategic Client Relationships: Build and deepen relationships with senior institutional clients, acting as a trusted partner and escalation point for key accounts.
• Business Development: Identify cross-selling opportunities across the wider Securities Services offering, developing strategic account plans and senior client engagement programmes.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing client management function, including service directors, RFP management and client transitions.
• Product Expertise: Work closely with Sales, Product and Operations to deliver integrated solutions across custody, clearing, fund administration, middle-office outsourcing, performance measurement and securities finance.
• Service Excellence: Ensure high standards of client service, implementation delivery and operational execution, resolving complex client matters and protecting long-term relationships.
• Regional Expansion: Support the development of the Securities Services business across the GCC and Egypt, contributing to the commercial expansion into selected Asian markets.
• Commercial Negotiations: Oversee client commercial discussions and contractual negotiations, balancing client requirements, profitability, risk and governance.
• Business Strategy: Provide market intelligence and client insight to support product development, competitive positioning and the wider strategic direction of the business.
