POSITION SUMMARY

Prepare special meals or substitute items. Regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Thaw food from freezer storage in the refrigerator. Ensure proper portioning and food garnishing. Maintain food logs. Monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food. Communicate assistance needs during busy periods. Inform the Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials. Notify Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items. Ensure the quality of food items. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and checklists. Prepare cold foods.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model.
  • Follow all company, safety, and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships; support team goals; respond appropriately to colleagues' concerns.
  • Adhere to quality expectations and standards.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
