Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Mechanical Quality Inspector responsible for quality inspections in construction activities. The ideal candidate will verify materials and compliance with project specifications, conduct tests, and maintain quality records. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5 to 7 years of inspection experience, preferably with ADNOC approvals.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in quality inspections.
  • Previously approved from ADNOC onshore and offshore jobs.
  • Ability to work in multitask disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspection of mechanical works such as piping and equipment installation.
  • Verify materials and consumables meet specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with project drawings and requirements.
  • Witness and record tests.
  • Monitor welder qualifications.
  • Coordinate with clients for inspections.
  • Maintain inspection records and quality documents.
  • Report non-conformances and verify corrective actions.
  • Support QA/QC Engineer.
  • Participate in audits.

Job description
Job Purpose

Responsible for all Mechanical Quality inspections carryout the construction activities with approved quality documents and drawings.

Responsible to Preparation of all type WPS PQR and WQT as per organization and Projects requirement. Maintained Welders records and update the all welding work related logs.

Reporting to all site activities on weekly and monthly basis to Lead QA/QC.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspection of mechanical works such as piping structural static and rotating equipment installation.

  • Verify materials welding consumables and equipment meet approved specifications.

  • Review and ensure compliance with project drawings WPS and ITP requirements.

  • Witness and record fit-up welding dimensional hydrostatic and pneumatic tests.

  • Monitor welder qualifications and ensure adherence to approved WPS.

  • Coordinate with the client/consultant for inspections and approvals.

  • Ensure all inspection records test reports and quality documents are properly maintained.

  • Identify and report non-conformances and verify implementation of corrective actions.

  • Support QA/QC Engineer in maintaining the project quality system.

  • Participate in internal and external audits when required.
