Job summary

Gardinia Contracting, the construction arm backing Azizi Developments in Dubai, is seeking a QA/QC Civil Inspector. You will conduct daily site inspections across civil works, verify compliance with drawings, method statements, and ITPs, and coordinate with consultants and contractors to ensure quality standards are met.

The role requires 3–6 years of QA/QC experience in civil construction, UAE/GCC exposure, and strong documentation skills to maintain inspection reports and quality records.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of QA/QC Civil Inspector experience on construction projects.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.
• Experience with main contractors, subcontractors and consultants is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections of civil and structural works to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Inspect foundations, reinforcement, formwork, concrete works, blockwork, plastering, screeding and finishing works.
• Verify works against approved Method Statements and ITPs.
• Inspect incoming construction materials and coordinate MIRs.
• Coordinate with Consultants, Main Contractors, Subcontractors and Site Engineers for inspections and approvals.
• Identify and address defective/non-conforming work and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection reports, checklists, test reports and quality records.
• Review material certificates, lab test reports and third-party inspection reports.
• Ensure proper storage and usage of approved materials at site.
• Monitor workmanship to meet project specs and standards.
• Assist QA/QC Engineers in preparing quality reports and documentation.
• Participate in internal quality audits and consultant inspections.
• Support project handover with complete quality documentation.

The QA/QC Civil Inspector will be responsible for conducting site inspections and ensuring that civil construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, ITPs, applicable codes and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily site inspections of civil and structural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Inspect construction activities including Foundations, Reinforcement & Formwork, Concrete works, Blockwork, Plastering, Screeding, Tiling and other civil/finishing works.
• Verify that works are executed according to approved Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Inspect incoming construction materials and coordinate Material Inspection Requests (MIRs).
• Coordinate with Consultants, Main Contractors, Subcontractors and Site Engineers for inspections and approvals.

• Review relevant material certificates, laboratory test reports and third-party inspection reports.

Education & Experience:

• Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Civil Technology / Construction or related discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience as a QA/QC Civil Inspector in construction/contracting.
• Strong site inspection experience in building or civil construction projects.
• UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
• Experience working with main contractors, subcontractors and consultants is highly desirable.
