Job summary

Gardinia Contracting, the UAE construction leader behind Azizi Developments, seeks a Senior QA/QC Engineer (Civil) to lead quality assurance and field QC on landscape and swimming pool projects in Dubai. Strong hands-on experience in UAE-based contracting firms is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of QA/QC experience, with at least 3-4 years in a senior role, within UAE-based contracting firms.
• Proven QA/QC experience on landscape and swimming pool projects in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, waterproofing systems, and pool shell/structural works.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent qualification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor the QMS for civil works on landscape and swimming pool projects.
• Review and approve method statements, ITPs, and QC procedures prior to execution.
• Conduct site inspections and witness hold points for excavation, structural works, waterproofing, pool shell construction, hardscaping, and finishing works.
• Coordinate with consultants and client representatives for inspections, approvals, and handover.
• Maintain quality records, inspection checklists, and as-built documentation per project/authority requirements.
• Lead internal quality audits and support external audits by clients, consultants, or certifying bodies.
• Liaise with the Material Engineer to ensure only approved materials are used.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, project specs, and ISO 9001.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior QA/QC Engineer (Civil) to lead quality assurance and quality control activities on landscape and swimming pool civil works. The successful candidate will bring strong execution-side experience from UAE contracting firms and a proven track record of managing quality on live sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor the project Quality Management System (QMS) for civil works on landscape and swimming pool projects.
• Review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and quality control procedures prior to execution.
• Conduct site inspections and witness hold points for civil works including excavation, structural works, waterproofing, pool shell construction, hardscaping, and finishing works.
• Coordinate with consultants and client representatives for inspections, approvals, and handover of completed works.
• Maintain quality records, inspection checklists, and as-built documentation in line with project and authority requirements.
• Lead internal quality audits and support external audits by clients, consultants, or certifying bodies.
• Liaise with the Material Engineer to ensure only approved materials are used in civil execution works.
• Ensure compliance with UAE municipal regulations, project specifications, and relevant international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
