Job Description – Pump Technician

Position: Pump Technician

Number of Openings: 2

Location: Dubai, UAE

Experience Required: 3 to 8 Years

Age Limit: Below 40 Years

Qualification: 10th / +2 / ITI

The Pump Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial pumps used in Oil & Gas operations. The role requires hands‑on technical expertise, strong fault‑finding ability, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards at site or workshop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, dismantle, overhaul, and repair centrifugal, reciprocating, and rotary pumps.
  • Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps and associated equipment.
  • Diagnose pump failures, vibration issues, leakage, seal problems, and bearing failures.
  • Carry out alignment of pumps and motors using dial gauge or laser alignment tools.
  • Inspect mechanical seals, packing systems, shafts, impellers, casings, and couplings.
  • Conduct performance testing and ensure pumps operate within specified parameters.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and pump datasheets.
  • Ensure compliance with Oil & Gas safety standards, permit systems, and site procedures.
  • Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and job cards accurately.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other technicians to meet maintenance schedules.
Essential Qualifications
  • 3 to 8 years of hands‑on experience as a Pump Technician in Oil & Gas or heavy industrial environments.

  • Familiarity with safety practices, LOTO procedures, and risk assessments.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to work in industrial environments.
  • Basic communication skills in English; knowledge of Hindi/Tamil is an advantage.
