Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex building and infrastructure initiatives in the UAE. You will oversee scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and resources from mobilization through handover, coordinating with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree with 10–15 years in construction and at least 3 years in a PM role, plus UAE experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in civil engineering or construction management.
• 10–15 years in building and infrastructure construction.
• Minimum 3 years in a Project Manager role.
• Experience with infrastructure, utilities, and building projects.
• Experience in planning, cost control, contracts, QA/QC, and HSE.
• UAE construction experience preferred.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction standards and authority requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute building and infrastructure projects from mobilization to completion and handover.
• Take overall responsibility for project scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and resources.
• Monitor the master project programme, milestones, and critical activities.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Manage construction activities for buildings, roads, drainage, utilities, infrastructure, and associated works.
• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, contracts, and project requirements.
• Ensure construction works align with drawings, specifications, method statements, and standards.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, risks, constraints, and recovery needs.
• Manage budgets, cost control, variations, claims, and financial performance.
• Coordinate with Planning, QS/Commercial, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, Engineering, and Construction teams.
• Review and approve subcontractor/supplier work programmes and monitor performance.
• Ensure timely procurement and availability of materials, manpower, equipment, and resources.
• Lead regular progress meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Manage technical issues, RFIs, design changes, site instructions, and variations.
• Ensure QA/QC inspections, testing, and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and local authority standards.
• Monitor manpower productivity and optimize resources.
• Coordinate with authorities for permits, inspections, approvals, and NOCs.
• Manage project risks and implement mitigation/contingency plans.
• Resolve site issues and coordinate with stakeholders to avoid disruption.
• Monitor subcontractor claims, payments, variations, and contractual obligations.
• Ensure proper documentation, as-built drawings, testing records, and handover docs.
• Lead testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and handover.
• Maintain strong client relationships and support business development through delivery.

Desired Candidate Profile
