Job summary

Stockmeier Urethanes ME LLC in Dubai, UAE seeks an Operational Manager to oversee day-to-day production and ensure quality and timely delivery. You will monitor batch processes, supervise operators, and enforce HSE and compliance with SOPs.

The role requires a technical degree and at least 2 years in a supervisory role, plus experience with polyurethane manufacturing and ERP systems such as SAP B1 and S4 HANA. On-site position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in chemical/industrial/mechanical engineering.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role.
• Experience in batch production environments preferred.
• Familiarity with UAE manufacturing standards and HSE practices beneficial.
• Proficiency with SAP B1, S4 HANA and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day production activities to meet planned output quality standards and delivery timelines.
• Monitor production parameters, batch processes and equipment performance.
• Ensure proper handling, mixing and processing of chemicals according to SOPs.
• Maintain accurate production records, batch reports and shift logs.
• Lead and supervise production operators and technicians; conduct shift briefings.
• Train team on safety procedures, equipment operation and quality standards.
• Enforce HSE guidelines and PPE requirements; ensure UAE regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, maintenance and process improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and optimize production processes.

Education

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related field

2+ years supervisory or team-lead experience

Reading/interpretation of production formulas and batch sheets

Strong MS Office skills

Operational Management

• Oversee day-to-day production activities to meet planned output quality standards and delivery timelines


• Monitor production parameters batch processes and equipment performance to ensure smooth operations


• Ensure proper handling mixing and processing of chemicals according to SOPs


• Maintain accurate production records batch reports and shift logs

People Supervision

• Lead guide and supervise production operators and technicians


• Conduct shift briefings allocate tasks and ensure workforce productivity


• Train team members on safety procedures equipment operation and quality standards

Safety Compliance

• Enforce strict adherence to HSE guidelines chemical handling protocols and PPE requirements


• Conduct routine safety inspections and report hazards or incidents promptly


• Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory requirements and internal company policies

Quality Assurance

• Ensure all products meet required specifications and quality standards


• Coordinate with QA QC teams to address deviations non-conformities and corrective actions


• Support root-cause analysis for quality or process issues

Equipment Maintenance

• Monitor equipment condition and coordinate preventive maintenance with the maintenance team


• Report breakdowns and ensure timely resolution to minimize downtime


• Verify calibration and readiness of production tools and instruments

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency reduce waste and optimize production processes


• Support implementation of lean manufacturing 5S and process improvement initiatives

Any ad hoc responsibilities as assigned by the line manager

• Strong understanding of polyurethane industry, blending processes, and manufacturing workflows.


• Knowledge of chemical handling, storage, and safety protocols.


• Ability to read and interpret production formulas, batch sheets, and technical documents.


• Familiarity with production equipment such as mixers, reactors, pumps, and dosing systems.


• Competence in production planning, shift management, and resource allocation.


• Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical and process issues.


• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP B1, S4 HANA).
