Role Context

The Production Supervisor will oversee daily production activities, guide production workers, allocate resources, monitor schedules, and support continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. The role requires strong coordination with production, procurement, quality, safety, and operations teams to ensure materials, equipment, manpower, and workflows are aligned with business targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead production workers to ensure smooth daily manufacturing operations.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to build a high‑performing and cohesive production team.
• Collaborate with the production manager to plan, prioritize, and execute production schedules.
• Allocate manpower, materials, equipment, and operational resources to meet deadlines and output targets.
• Monitor production activities and ensure work is completed according to quality, safety, and timeline requirements.
• Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure products meet established specifications and standards.
• Conduct regular production inspections and address deviations from quality requirements.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, manufacturing regulations, and workplace safety procedures.
• Conduct safety training and promote a strong safety awareness culture among team members.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, workflow optimization, and operational efficiency.
• Implement best practices to streamline production activities and improve productivity.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure adequate material availability.
• Support material usage planning to reduce waste and improve resource efficiency.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, production delays, equipment concerns, and workflow bottlenecks.
• Maintain effective communication with team members, production management, quality teams, procurement, and other departments.
• Report production progress, operational challenges, and improvement recommendations to management.
• Track and report key performance indicators related to production goals, efficiency, quality, waste, and safety.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, risks, gaps, and areas for improvement.
• Support maintenance coordination for manufacturing equipment when troubleshooting or repairs are required.
• Perform additional production supervision duties assigned by management to support business needs.

Ideal Profile

• Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Line Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, or similar role is preferred.
• Strong ability to guide, mentor, train, and manage production teams effectively.
• Good knowledge of production scheduling, manpower planning, resource allocation, and deadline management.
• Understanding of quality control processes, production standards, and inspection procedures.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols, workplace safety training, and manufacturing compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
• Understanding of manufacturing equipment, basic troubleshooting, and coordination with maintenance teams.
• Ability to manage materials efficiently, reduce waste, and optimize production resources.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, organizational, and data analysis skills.
