Summary
Procurement Manager oversees and manage the procurement processes for all BEYOND's project. This role ensures the procurement of goods and services aligns with project requirements, BEYOND standards, and industry’s best practices. This role also leads procurement team, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and implement strategies to optimize procurement activities, achieving cost-effective and timely project delivery.
The Role
- Manage the procurement strategy for all projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and BEYOND objectives to achieve optimal results.
- Coordinate the procurement activities across all projects, ensuring that materials, services, and contractors are sourced efficiently and meet project specifications and BEYOND high quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, commercial team, and other departments to ensure that procurement timelines align with project milestones and objectives.
- Facilitate the negotiation process with suppliers and contractors to secure favorable terms and conditions, ensuring value for money and timely delivery.
- Supervise the procurement team, providing guidance and leadership to ensure compliance with procurement procedures and high standards of performance.
- Ensure the proper creation, tracking, and management of Purchase Orders (POs), verifying that all orders are accurately processed and aligned with project timelines and budget requirements.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly, ensuring that vendors meet the required quality, delivery schedules, and cost objectives for each project.
- Check procurement documentation and contracts for accuracy, ensuring that all agreements comply with BEYOND internal policies and legal requirements.
- Identify and address any potential procurement-related risks, implementing proactive strategies to minimize delays or cost overruns.
- Implement procurement best practices and policies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function within the organization.
- Achieve cost-saving targets while maintaining ultra-luxury quality standards across all projects.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as contractors and consultants, to ensure procurement activities are aligned with project needs and timelines.
- Assess and analyze the market for potential suppliers, sourcing new vendors to ensure competitiveness and innovation in procurement strategies.
- Coordinate the review and approval of procurement contracts, ensuring all terms are in the best interest of the company and projects.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in the procurement cycle, driving continuous improvement and innovation within the department.
- Maintain accurate records and history of all suppliers, service providers, and procurement activities, ensuring OMNIYAT has access to up-to-date vendor performance data for future decision-making.
- Assess potential new suppliers, evaluating their expertise and capabilities for future project requirements and procurement needs.
- Collaborate with the Interior Design (FF&E) team and/or Hotel Operator (OS&E) to ensure alignment between procurement and design objectives.
- Create, update, and maintain a comprehensive material sample library, both digital and physical, to support procurement decisions.
- Implement project-specific design standards for FF&E and OS&E based on the type of project (e.g., hospitality, staff accommodation).
- Prepare FF&E and OS&E budgets across all projects, ensuring alignment with financial constraints and project objectives.
- Monitor the status of budgets and payment trackers, ensuring that costs are managed effectively across all procurement activities.
- Ensure that timeframes, budgets, and design concepts remain achievable throughout the procurement process.
Competencies
- Minimum Required Education - Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Average Years of Experience - 10 - 12 Years of experience in procurement preferably in Real Estate industry
- Required Skills - Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers and contracts in the real estate development sector
