Job summary

MDS for Computer Systems (MDS CS) is seeking a seasoned Pre-Sales Engineer to advise the Sales team on technical issues, design solutions, and coordinate POC/RFP activities. The role builds strong relationships with partners and customers, driving business through multiple technical initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in PCs, laptops, printers, workstations, accessories, and related client computing products.
• Experience preferred with HP Inc. or similar OEMs; Lenovo/Dell/Acer/ASUS considered.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert in technical/solutions design of company products/services.
• Collaborate with Sales to develop and implement account penetration strategies and achieve targets.
• Create specific accounts for products, services and sales plans.
• Assist with qualifying opportunities, supporting and advising on technical aspects of the sales lifecycle including proposals and high-level designs and demonstrations.
• Lead and drive proof of concepts (POC) and RFPs/RFQs and close opportunities from pre-sales perspective.
• Build relationships with partners and customers to support sales objectives.
• Lead technical sales calls.
• Manage adoption, integration and value generation of offered products/services within customers' IT infrastructure.
• Complete pre-sales documentation accurately and quickly.
• Develop content, train and support partners and customers.
• Respond to after-hours support queries during rotations and escalate if needed.
• Utilize Salesforce CRM for leads, opportunities and deals output.
