Job summary

Anantara Hotels & Resorts invites applications for an Assistant Manager of People & Culture at Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role supports the Director of P&C in daily operations, recruitment, employee relations, and compliance with UAE labour regulations.

You will help manage budgets, onboarding, payroll coordination, learning initiatives, and team engagement while maintaining confidential records in a fast-paced luxury hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, hospitality, or related field.
• 3–5 years in People & Culture / HR, hospitality preferred.
• Knowledge of UAE Labour Law and HR practices.
• Experience in recruitment, payroll, performance management and HR operations.
• Good knowledge of HR systems and MS Office (Excel & Word).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Strong problem-solving skills; fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Good command of English; supervisory experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in budgeting, forecasts and annual P&C plans.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee relations.
• Ensure UAE Labour Law compliance and records maintenance.
• Support salary, benefits policies and payroll tasks as needed.
• Coordinate team member housing, transport and related matters.
• Plan and coordinate training and development activities.
