Job summary

Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager of People & Culture to support the Director in everyday HR operations, talent acquisition, and compliance with UAE Labour Law.

You will lead recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll support, and engagement initiatives while maintaining confidential records and coordinating team member accommodation and transport.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in People & Culture / HR, preferably hospitality.
• Good knowledge of UAE Labour Law and HR practices.
• Experience in recruitment, employee relations, payroll, performance management, and HR operations.
• Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Experience in supervisory or team leadership is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of P&C in budget, forecasts, and annual action plans.
• Ensure P&C policies and processes are followed and improved.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and HR administration.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law and company standards.
• Coordinate work permits, visas, and other employment matters.
• Maintain confidential team member records.
