Job summary

Freight Systems DWC LLC in Dubai is seeking an experienced logistics professional to manage end-to-end NVOCC operations for imports, exports, cross-trade, and transshipments. You will coordinate schedules, bookings, documentation, and communications with customers and overseas partners to ensure smooth shipment execution and timely updates.

Ideal candidates have 4–6 years in ocean freight, strong Incoterms knowledge, and proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field is required.
  • 4–6 years of experience in NVOCC or ocean freight operations.
  • Strong knowledge of Incoterms, BL procedures, and vessel schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full NVOCC operations for import, export, cross-trade, and transshipment.
  • Coordinate shipment schedules, documentation, and customer communications.
  • Book space with lines and allocate vessels per requirements.
  • Monitor schedules, cut-offs, container availability, loading, sailing, and arrivals.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documents (BL, invoices, packing lists, DOs).
  • Coordinate with overseas agents, transporters, ports, and warehouses.
  • Track shipments and provide status updates; resolve issues and queries.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, regulations, and customs procedures.
  • Coordinate with finance on invoices, payments, and credits.
  • Maintain shipment records and reports.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Manage complete NVOCC operations for import, export, cross‑trade, and transshipment shipments.
  • Coordinate with customers regarding shipment schedules, cargo readiness, booking requests, and documentation.
  • Book cargo space with shipping lines and secure vessel allocations based on customer requirements.
  • Monitor vessel schedules, cargo cut‑off dates, container availability, loading, sailing, and arrival updates.
  • Coordinate container release, pickup, stuffing, gate‑in, delivery, and empty container returns.
  • Prepare, verify, and process shipping documentation including Bill of Lading, BL Shipping Instructions, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Delivery Orders, Arrival Notices, and Cargo Manifests.
  • Follow up on BL instructions, draft approval, amendments, issuance, and cargo release.
  • Coordinate with overseas agents, transporters, terminals, warehouses, and port authorities to ensure smooth shipment execution.
  • Track shipments proactively and provide timely status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve operational issues such as shipment delays, rollovers, demurrage, detention, documentation discrepancies, and customer queries.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, customs procedures, and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate with the finance department regarding freight invoices, vendor payments, debit notes, and credit notes.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records, operational reports, and system updates.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in NVOCC, shipping, freight forwarding, or ocean freight operations.
  • Strong understanding of FCL, LCL, import/export procedures, and container operations.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms, Bill of Lading procedures, vessel schedules, and shipping documentation.
  • Familiarity with customs regulations and port operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and freight management/ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
