Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain mission-critical payment processing infrastructure.

Detailed Job Description

As a NOC Engineer, you will be a key member of a 24×7 operations team responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise-scale payment infrastructure. The role involves real-time incident detection, alert correlation, root cause analysis, and coordination with technical support teams to ensure uninterrupted payment services. You will work closely with L2 and L3 support teams, business stakeholders, and infrastructure specialists to minimize downtime and maintain strict SLA commitments. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience within payment processing or fintech environments, combined with expertise in monitoring platforms, incident management, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor mission-critical payment processing infrastructure using Zabbix and related enterprise monitoring platforms.
• Perform Level 1 and Level 2 incident triage, diagnosis, escalation, and resolution activities.
• Correlate multiple alerts and identify root causes during major incidents and service disruptions.
• Monitor card management systems, payment switches, acquiring platforms, and payment gateway environments.
• Support incident bridge calls and coordinate recovery activities during critical outages.
• Ensure compliance with established SLAs, operational procedures, and escalation matrices.
• Manage maintenance windows, alert tuning, and monitoring optimization activities.
• Prepare accurate shift handovers, operational reports, and incident documentation.
• Coordinate with L2 and L3 technical teams to ensure business continuity and rapid incident resolution.
• Analyze recurring operational issues and recommend improvements to enhance service stability.
• Monitor infrastructure, applications, databases, and cloud platforms to proactively identify risks.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in NOC, IT Operations, Infrastructure Operations, or Technical Support environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Zabbix monitoring and alert management platforms.
• Proven experience supporting Fintech or Payment Processing environments.
• Strong knowledge of Card Management Systems, Payment Switches, Acquiring Platforms, and Payment Gateways.
• Experience performing incident monitoring, triage, escalation management, and root cause analysis.
• Hands-on experience with AppDynamics Application Performance Monitoring (APM).
• Working knowledge of Jira Service Management (JSM).
• Experience monitoring cloud environments using AWS CloudWatch.
• Familiarity with SolarWinds Network Traffic Analyzer (NTA).
• Experience supporting Oracle Exadata and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) environments.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills within high-availability environments.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a 24×7 rotational support model, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
