Job summary

Dicetek LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced IT Operations Engineer to support core banking technology operations. The role focuses on maintaining availability, stability, performance and operational reliability of the core banking platform, its APIs and integration components through go-lives and steady-state support.

You will coordinate across infrastructure, platform engineering, application teams and external vendors, handle 24x7 incidents, batch scheduling and monitoring with tools

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor health, capacity, availability and performance of core banking systems in a 24x7 environment
• Respond to incidents, diagnose and escalate to platform engineering or vendors
• Lead or participate in major incident bridges and post-incident reviews
• Execute end-of-day, end-of-month and end-of-year batch processing and manage batch schedules (Control-M/Autosys)
• Coordinate with payments, cards, treasury and regulatory reporting teams to protect cut-off times
• Support production go-live, hypercare and transition to steady-state operations

Key Responsibilities Service Operations and Monitoring

• Monitor the health, capacity, availability and performance of core banking systems, integration services, API gateways, Kafka platforms and banking channel workloads in a 24x7 operational environment.
• Use enterprise observability and monitoring tools to identify system alerts, performance degradation and potential service disruptions.
• Respond to incidents, perform first-line and second-line technical diagnosis, and elevate complex issues to platform engineering, application support or external vendors within agreed service-level agreements.
• Lead or participate in major incident management bridges, maintain accurate incident timelines and coordinate communications with relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to post-incident reviews, root cause investigations and problem management records.
• Monitor and report service availability, SLA compliance and service-level objective performance for critical banking applications.

Batch Processing and Job Scheduling

• Execute, monitor and control end-of-day, end-of-month and end-of-year processing for core banking systems and dependent applications.
• Administer and monitor batch schedules using Control-M, Autosys or equivalent enterprise scheduling solutions.
• Manage batch dependencies, processing calendars, job reruns and recovery procedures to maintain reliable execution.
• Investigate batch failures and coordinate recovery activities to minimize operational disruption.
• Work with payments, cards, treasury and regulatory reporting teams to coordinate batch processing windows and protect critical cut-off times.

Core Banking Platform Operations

• Support operational readiness during environment builds, migration rehearsals and core banking platform implementation activities.
• Participate in production go-live, hypercare and the transition to steady-state operations.
• Support the operational stability of core banking infrastructure and its associated integration and event-processing components.
• Coordinate technical investigations and production support activities across infrastructure, platform engineering and application teams.
• Work with external technology vendors and managed service providers to address service issues and meet contractual SLAs.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor 's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5-10 years of experience in IT operations or production support within banking or regulated financial services.
• Proven participation in at least one core banking go-live, migration or major platform transformation.
• Experience operating 24x7 mission-critical technology environments with demanding availability and regulatory requirements.
• Practical experience coordinating production support activities with technology vendors and managed service providers.
• Understanding of operational processes supporting enterprise banking platforms and their dependent applications.
