Job summary

LikeCard in Dubai is seeking a Payment Operations Specialist to monitor day-to-day payment method performance across MENA markets and partner with internal and external teams to resolve issues and support expansion initiatives.

You will work with technology and support teams, PSPs, and banks to ensure smooth payment operations, analyze acceptance rate trends, and maintain documentation for ongoing payments activities.

Qualifications

• I) Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the daily performance and availability of payment methods (Cards, DCB, Digital Wallets, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Open Finance).
• Identify and flag payment issues such as failed transactions, dashboard errors, missing responses, and abnormal transaction trends.
• Support payment infrastructure readiness and setup activities for new markets and country expansions.
• Prepare reports and perform basic analysis on payment transaction performance, including acceptance rate trends across methods.
• Coordinate with Technology, Internal Support, PSPs, banks and other external partners to resolve day-to-day payment operational issues.
• Track payment integration activities and follow up on pending tasks and expansion-related requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation, trackers, and records related to payment methods and operational activities.
• Support payment-related projects, investigations, and ad-hoc operational tasks as required.
• Escalate critical or recurring payment issues to the relevant stakeholders on time.

We are looking for a Payment Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day monitoring and operational performance of our payment methods across MENA markets. The role will work closely with internal technology and support teams, as well as external payment partners, to identify and resolve payment-related issues and support payment setup and expansion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems , or a related field.
  
• 1–2 years of experience in Payment Operations, FinTech, E-commerce, or a related environment.
  
• Familiarity with global and local payment methods , including card schemes, DCB, and digital wallets.
  
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze transaction data and prepare reports.
  
• Basic understanding of payment processing concepts, including authorization, capture, and transaction decline reasons .
  
• Familiarity with Jira or similar task and issue-tracking tools is preferred.
  
• Basic knowledge of PCI DSS and payment compliance concepts is a plus.
