Role Overview
Maths Teacher – Curriculum Support in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a full‑time teaching role for an experienced Primary or Secondary Maths teacher with UAE school exposure and strong knowledge of British or CBSE curriculum standards. The position supports the Head of Department, guides Maths teachers, strengthens subject standards, and contributes to curriculum planning, lesson delivery, professional development, and departmental improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics effectively at Primary or Secondary level in line with school curriculum standards.
- Support the Head of Department Maths in improving subject standards and departmental performance.
- Provide guidance and support to Primary or Secondary Maths teachers on lesson planning, teaching methods, and classroom delivery.
- Assist in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Mathematics curriculum.
- Ensure teaching practices align with British Curriculum or CBSE curriculum standards.
- Conduct lesson observations and provide constructive feedback to improve teaching quality.
- Support teachers in using appropriate strategies to deliver daily lesson plans effectively.
- Plan and conduct CPD sessions, team teaching, and professional learning activities for Maths teachers.
- Help develop schemes of work, assessment plans, learning resources, and differentiated classroom activities.
- Monitor student progress and support intervention strategies to improve Mathematics outcomes.
- Promote problem‑solving, logical reasoning, numeracy skills, mathematical fluency, and critical thinking among students.
- Support consistent assessment, recording, reporting, and academic tracking across the Maths department.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, coordinators, school leaders, and parents to support student achievement.
- Contribute to departmental targets, academic improvement plans, and school‑wide teaching priorities.
- Maintain accurate records related to lesson observations, CPD, student progress, and curriculum development.
- Follow school policies related to safeguarding, inclusion, student wellbeing, and professional conduct.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- B.Ed., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant Mathematics teaching experience.
- UAE school experience and exposure to local school practices are required.
- Experience teaching Primary or Secondary Mathematics is preferred.
- Good knowledge of British Curriculum or CBSE curriculum standards.
- Ability to support teachers through lesson observations, feedback, CPD, and team teaching.
- Strong understanding of curriculum planning, assessment design, student progress tracking, and instructional improvement.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement abilities.
- Ability to work under the guidance of the Head of Department and contribute to departmental goals.
