Position Overview

The Division of Science at NYU Abu Dhabi is searching for accomplished faculty to conduct research and teach the next generation of global thinkers.

Tenure-Track Faculty – Mathematics

Available openings are at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor ranks. NYUAD invites applications in all areas of mathematics. The Mathematics Program supports a Masters program in Interdisciplinary Data Science and AI.

Research Focus

• Geometry, Topology and Algebra – quantum topology, differential geometry, algebraic topology, algebraic geometry.
• Probability Theory and Statistical Mechanics – high-dimensional probability, Euclidean & conformal field theory, random matrices, free probability, Markov chains, stochastic processes.
• Analysis, PDEs and Applications – PDE analysis, fluid dynamics, inverse problems, dynamical systems, optimal transport, spectral theory, singularity formation, scattering, long‑time dynamics.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in mathematics or a related field is required. Applicants should have or have the potential to develop a strong record of scholarship and the ability to conduct high‑quality research. Exceptional candidates in all mathematics fields will be considered.

Teaching

Successful candidates are expected to teach and pursue research at NYUAD.
