Job summary

Ferns N Petals in the UAE seeks a Marketplace Lead to own revenue, margins and P&L across key platforms, driving profitable growth through pricing, assortment and promotions. You will build senior relationships with marketplace partners and lead commercial negotiations to deliver sustainable growth.

The role requires 5–8+ years in marketplace/e-commerce with 4+ years in UAE/GCC markets, strong analytics, and excellent English communication; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of relevant experience in marketplace, e-commerce or related commercial role.
• Mandatory minimum of 4 years of hands-on marketplace experience in the UAE or wider GCC market.
• Demonstrated ownership of marketplace revenue, margins and P&L, with evidence of profitable growth.
• Strong knowledge of UAE/GCC e-commerce, marketplace aggregators and quick-commerce models.
• Proven experience managing senior marketplace or aggregator relationships and leading commercial negotiations.
• Hands-on experience in assortment planning, pricing, promotions, platform visibility and campaign execution.
• Strong analytical capability, including forecasting, performance reporting and commercial decision-making using data.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce or related discipline; postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Own the marketplace strategy, revenue, margins and P&L across assigned platforms.
• Drive profitable growth through effective assortment, pricing, promotions and platform visibility.
• Build and manage senior relationships with marketplace, aggregator and quick-commerce partners.
• Lead commercial negotiations covering commissions, margins, marketing support and service terms.
• Ensure catalogue accuracy, product availability, campaign readiness and marketplace compliance.
• Monitor sales, conversion, fulfilment, returns, ratings and overall account performance.
• Use marketplace data and competitor insights to identify opportunities and improve performance.
• Coordinate with category, marketing, operations, supply chain, technology and finance teams to deliver business plans.
