Job summary

Godiva Chocolatier in Dubai is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to oversee preventive and corrective maintenance across company locations. You will coordinate repairs, inspect facilities, and monitor equipment to ensure minimal disruption to store operations.

The role also covers managing external vendors and AMCs, maintaining an up-to-date asset register, supporting store openings, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
• Professional certifications in facilities or maintenance management are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Operations: Execute and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities for all company locations.
• Vendor & Contract Management: Manage external maintenance vendors and service providers, monitor AMCs and renewals.
• Facilities & Asset Management: Maintain asset register, support store openings, relocations, refurbishments, and maintenance projects.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies; conduct routine safety inspections.
• Budget & Reporting: Monitor maintenance expenses, identify optimization opportunities, prepare periodic maintenance reports and KPIs.

Maintenance Specialist

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Operations

• Execute and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities for all company locations.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility-related issues.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential risks and maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities to minimize operational disruption.
• Monitor the condition and performance of equipment and facilities.

Vendor & Contract Management

• Manage external maintenance vendors and service providers.
• Monitor Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and ensure timely renewal.
• Ensure contractors perform services according to agreed service standards.
• Obtain quotations, compare proposals, and support vendor selection processes.
• Verify service completion and approve maintenance reports.

Facilities & Asset Management

• Maintain an up-to-date asset register for all facilities and equipment.
• Support new store openings, relocations, refurbishments, and maintenance projects.
• Track equipment lifecycle and recommend replacements when required.
• Ensure critical equipment is maintained according to manufacturer recommendations.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
• Conduct routine facility safety inspections.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed in accordance with safety procedures.
• Maintain records of inspections, maintenance activities, certifications, and permits.

Budget & Reporting

• Monitor maintenance expenses and support budget planning.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency.
• Prepare periodic maintenance reports, including completed work, outstanding issues, and contractor performance.
• Track maintenance KPIs and service levels.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
• Professional certifications in facilities or maintenance management are an advantage.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or technical services.
• Experience managing multiple sites within retail, hospitality, food & beverage, cafés, or commercial facilities.
• Experience managing AMCs, contractors, and maintenance budgets.
• UAE experience preferred.
