Job summary

The Ritz-Carlton in Dubai is seeking a Reservations Agent to process all reservation requests by phone, fax or mail, verify room type availability, explain rates and policies, accommodate special requests, and input data into the reservation system.

You will follow company standards, maintain professional appearance, protect guest privacy, assist guests and colleagues, and escalate guest concerns as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: No related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
• Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room type.
• Verify availability of room type and rate.
• Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.
• Accommodate and document special requests.
• Input and access data in reservation system.
• Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue.
• Follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.
