Job summary

SAGMA CORP PERFUMES & COSMETICS TRADING LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced Import Logistics Specialist to manage shipments with European suppliers, oversee customs clearance, and drive cost efficiencies. You will coordinate freight and ensure regulatory compliance while supervising warehouse operations to maintain stock accuracy.

The role requires hands-on UAE logistics experience, strong ERP and Excel skills, and a valid UAE driving licence. A dynamic team in a luxury cosmetics context awaits.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years in import logistics and distribution in the UAE.
• Hands-on experience with customs clearance in Dubai and Jebel Ali, including filing declarations yourself on the Dubai Trade portal.
• Good working knowledge of an ERP system and solid Excel skills.
• Fluent English, written and spoken; Valid UAE driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipments with suppliers in France, Italy and the Netherlands.
• Manage freight forwarders: request quotations, place bookings, track shipments and decide between air and sea based on urgency and cost.
• Check shipping documents before departure and ensure compliance (invoices, packing list, origin certificates, safety data sheets).
• Verify freight invoices and handle customs clearance and compliance.
• File import declarations and follow up Bills of Entry and duty payments.
• Ensure cosmetics compliance with Dubai Municipality, MOIAT and ESMA requirements.
• Handle dangerous goods correctly (Class 3 fragrances); manage declarations, packaging and limited quantity rules.
• Warehouse management: oversee receiving, quality checks, put-away, and stock accuracy; manage batch numbers and FIFO.
• Plan routes for deliveries, coordinate GCC exports, and track delivery notes.
• Provide monthly logistics cost reports and collaborate with sales on product availability and cost-saving actions.

Key responsibilities

• Import and freightCoordinate shipments with our suppliers in France Italy and the Netherlands
• Manage freight forwarders request quotations place bookings track shipments decide between air and sea based on urgency and cost

• Warehouse management Al Quoz Supervise the warehouse assistant across receiving quality check put-away and order pickingMaintain stock accuracy in our ERP system and run monthly cycle countsManage batch numbers expiry dates and FIFO rotation Flag slow-moving references early so that stock can be swapped with the brand before it expires Track contractual buffer stock levels by brand
• Delivery and distributionPlan the driver s routes around each hotel s receiving hoursFollow up signed delivery notes and report back to the sales teamCoordinate deliveries outside Dubai and export shipments across the GCC
• ReportingProvide a monthly report to the General Manager covering logistics cost per unit on-time delivery stock-outs and carrier claimsWork daily with the sales team on product availability datesPropose and implement actions to reduce freight and clearance costs

Requirements

• Essential4 to 6 years of experience in import logistics and distribution in the UAEHands-on experience with customs clearance in Dubai and Jebel Ali, including filing declarations yourself on the Dubai Trade portalGood working knowledge of an ERP system and solid Excel skillsFluent English, written and spokenValid UAE driving licence
