Role Summary
The Export and Import Logistics Executive is responsible for planning and executing international shipments, liaising with freight forwarders and brokers, managing documentation and customs requirements, and ensuring timely delivery across GCC and Egypt. The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, cost analysis capability, and close coordination with logistics partners to maintain efficient and compliant trade operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end export of goods from the UAE to GCC countries and Egypt via land, sea, and air
- Coordinate with freight forwarders to obtain quotations, compare costs, book cargo space, and arrange transportation based on required ETAs
- Handle export documentation and oversee dispatch of goods with complete and accurate paperwork
- Manage import clearance processes in Egypt, including compliance with local regulations and Cargo X system requirements
- Ensure adherence to UAE export regulations and GCC trade requirements
- Liaise with logistics service providers, brokers, and internal teams to ensure smooth movement and clearance of shipments
- Maintain shipment trackers with movement milestones, clearance updates, and delivery status
- Review shipping documents, verify freight rates, and select optimal sailing schedules and cost options
- Identify and resolve documentation gaps to avoid delays or compliance issues
- Review vendor invoices related to storage, freight, and clearance charges and submit for payment processing
- Provide guidance on customs tariffs, tariff classification, concessions, and clearance methods
- Support data-driven analysis of logistics costs, KPIs, and operational performance
Ideal Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing imports from the EU to the UAE and exports from the UAE to MENA
- Strong understanding of UAE import regulations, customs clearance, and free zone procedures
- Hands‑on experience coordinating international freight across multiple transport modes
- Familiarity with Egypt import regulations, documentation processes, and clearance systems
- High attention to detail with strong process and compliance awarenessBachelor's degree is mandatory
- Fluent communication skills in English and Arabic
