Job description

To help us maintain our high standards of service, we are seeking an experienced and accomplished Logistics Supervisor, to drive both innovation and execution in our busy Transportation network.

Responsibilities

• Support the overall, daily management of operational duties, deputizing for the Operations Manager when required.
• Prioritize and continually improve safety at the delivery station, supervising logistics assistants, coordinators and delivery associates to meet and exceed set operational KPIs.
• Monitor coordinator and associate performance, coach them when needed, partner with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and operations, and communicate with delivery service providers to set expectations and raise the bar on quality of their deliverables.
• Interview candidates for associate roles.
• Brief and monitor workload of all drivers and associates, ensuring all administrative tasks are accurately and fully completed; measure and monitor overall workflows and daily metrics to assist the Operations Manager with tracking, trending and reporting on site performance.
• Help with training and mentoring new associates, ensuring they have the knowledge needed to successfully carry out their tasks; follow up on and resolve any process-related issues as required.
• Perform physical activities such as pushing carts with up to 100 pounds of weight and lifting packages up to 15 kg.
• Be flexible to work in different shifts and do overtime when needed.
• Work with the Operations Manager to sufficiently resource your function from a personal standpoint, including training needs, absence and performance management, coaching and continuous monitoring of department productivity.
