Job summary

InterContinental Abu Dhabi is seeking a warm, polished Lobby Hostess to greet guests and set a welcoming tone on arrival. You will assist with inquiries, provide information on facilities and dining options, and coordinate with multiple departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

The role requires excellent English communication, professional grooming, and a proactive, guest-focused attitude in a fast-paced hotel environment. Weekend and holiday shifts are part of the rotation.

Qualifications

• Experience in guest relations, front office, hostessing or similar customer-facing role in hospitality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly personality.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; other languages are a plus.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Proactive, guest-focused approach and calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a warm, genuine, and professional approach.
• Assist guests with general inquiries, directions, and information about facilities and dining outlets.
• Maintain a visible, approachable presence in the lobby and ensure guests feel welcomed.
• Identify guest needs and proactively offer assistance to enhance their experience.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Concierge, F&B and other departments for seamless service.
• Assist with arrivals, departures and special requests in collaboration with relevant teams.
• Recognise VIP/returning guests and provide personalised attention.
• Handle guest feedback and escalate concerns to the appropriate team.
• Maintain grooming standards and a polished appearance at all times.
• Stay informed about hotel promotions, events, facilities and services.
