Job summary

Yosh in Abu Dhabi is seeking a reliable Steward to join our operations team. The role focuses on keeping kitchens and back-of-house areas clean, well-organised and compliant with hygiene standards to support a smooth service.

You will operate dishwashing machinery, assist with stock rotation, prep mise en place when needed, and work with kitchen and front-of-house teams. Flexible hours including weekends are required; prior hospitality cleaning experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in stewarding or related cleaning roles in hospitality or catering.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles; willingness to obtain training.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
• Good teamwork and clear verbal communication.
• Physical ability to stand long periods and lift moderate loads.
• Basic numeracy and record-keeping for stock checks.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in back-of-house areas including kitchens and storerooms.
• Operate dishwashing machines and hand-wash items.
• Manage waste handling, recycling, and pest reporting.
• Assist with deliveries, stock rotation, and proper storage.
• Support mise en place and basic food preparation when required.
• Maintain equipment and report faults.
• Follow COSHH, health and safety procedures.
• Participate in stock counts and inventory control.
• Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house to ensure smooth service.
• Attend training and contribute to hygiene improvements.
