GEMS International School, Dubai Hills (GIS) invites applications from experienced Individuals & Societies Teachers for an immediate start. As a fully authorised IB World School, we offer the complete IB continuum and foster inquiry-based learning.

The ideal candidate holds a degree-level teaching qualification (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent) in History/Geography/Politics/International Relations/Economics/Social Sciences, with at least 3 years of secondary I&S teaching experience, preferably

• Certified teaching qualification at degree level (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent) in History/Geography/Politics/IR/Economics/SS.
• Minimum 3 years of secondary I&S teaching experience, IB Curriculum preferred.
• Experience with MYP/DP is preferred but not essential.
• Passion for innovative, inquiry-based teaching and collaborative school culture.
• Desire to contribute to a leading flagship GEMS school with an international student body.

Skills Description

The ideal candidate will have:

• A certified professional teaching qualification at degree level, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent in any of the following specialisms History / Geography / Politics / International Relations / Economics / Social Sciences.
• A minimum of 3 years of solid and demonstrable experience teaching Secondary I&S, ideally within an IB Curriculum School (preferred but not essential).
• Experience teaching MYP & DP is preferred but not essential.
• A passion for inspiring young learners through innovative and inquiry based teaching.
