Job summary

GEMS International School, Dubai Hills (GIS) is welcoming applications from experienced Secondary Supply Teachers to join with immediate availability. This is a flexible opportunity to provide classroom cover across our Secondary phase on an as-needed basis, supporting continuity of learning within our school community.

Qualifications

• Provide high-quality classroom cover across the Secondary phase.
• Deliver engaging lessons in line with the plans and resources provided.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment where all students feel supported and engaged.
• Adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of learners, including EAL and students requiring additional support.
• Maintain high expectations for student behaviour, engagement and learning in line with school policies.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and wider Secondary colleagues to ensure a smooth transition into and out of classroom cover.
• Provide relevant feedback to the class teacher or appropriate team member following periods of cover.
• Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of all students, following school policies and procedures at all times.
• Uphold the GEMS values and IB Learner Profile in all aspects of school life.
