Qualifications

• Certified teaching qualification at degree level (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent) in History/Geography/Politics/IR/Economics/SS.
• Minimum 3 years of secondary I&S teaching experience, IB Curriculum preferred.
• Experience with MYP/DP is preferred but not essential.
• Passion for innovative, inquiry-based teaching and collaborative school culture.
• Desire to contribute to a leading flagship GEMS school with an international student body.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons to inspire curiosity and critical thinking.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment supporting diverse learners, including EAL and gifted students.
• Differentiate teaching strategies to meet varied needs and use data to inform support.
• Integrate technology and IB-aligned resources into teaching and assessments.
• Collaborate to design IB curriculum plans, resources, and assessments.
• Engage in co-curricular activities and community initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with parents and the wider school community.
• Engage in ongoing professional learning and reflection to improve practice.
• Uphold GEMS values and the IB Learner Profile in all aspects of school life.
