About the job

1.1 Job Scope Summary

The I&C Maintenance Engineer assists the Sr Engineer to analyze/carry out O&M activities, to maximize the availability and reliability of equipment using, systematic/analytical approach, and to troubleshooting, failure analysis, predictive/preventive maintenance, and design improvements.

1.2 Job Responsibilities

  • Compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental requirements
  • Takes an active role in working with other O&M personnel, people in the field and coordinating assigned activities with O&M personnel.
  • Ensures that all time worked is recorded on completed work orders
  • Review and update of O&M plans
  • Records all equipment changes and any abnormal or unusual conditions that may exist on any piece of assigned equipment
  • Performs daily routine inspections, plant walkdown including filling out necessary log sheets and writing maintenance work requests as needed
  • Analyse and optimise spare parts management for predictive maintenance
  • Manage and follow up the technical documentation of the equipment (drawings, procedures, certificates...)
  • Work closely with the execution teams for failure analyzes or improvement proposals
  • Assist in supervising the activities of external technicians or sub-contractors
  • Assist in the preparation of budget for O&M activities
  • Track and monitor plant performance, procedures and processes

1.3 Educational / Professional Qualifications / Training Certifications

  • Diploma in Engineering or equivalent certifications
  • HSE accredited training qualifications

1.4 Job Experience

  • 3-5 years' experience as Instrumentation, Control and Automation Engineer, and at least five (5) years' experience in the power generation field
  • Knowledge of Electrical theory, N.E.C., and interpretations
  • Knowledge of ISA standards
  • Familiar with HSE standards, procedures, and requirements and control plant operations in a safe and efficient manner
  • Knowledge in repair and calibration of transmitters, analyzers, and scales
  • Familiarity with DC and other emergency systems
  • PLC and DCS understanding and experience.
  • Calibration of valves and MOVs
  • Knowledge of environmental controls and equipment
