General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Advise the Contractor on Company HSE requirements to ensure Contractor commitment and compliance are in line with Company site-specific HSE requirements.
- Review Contractor Documents such as HSEMS Manual, Project HSE Plan, HSE Procedures, HSE Performance, Emergency Procedures, Training Plan, Method Statements, Risk Assessment, etc.
- Implement proactive HSE measures in project site activities as stated in HSE CoP (Code of Practices) & procedures of the Company.
- Assess construction and installation methods of construction plant and equipment and advise/ensure HSE risks are As Low as Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).
- Help establish an excellent HSE organization at project sites.
- Conduct construction-related HSE training to identify site hazards during job activities and report them to the company.
- Ensure the Project HSE Training Plan is implemented effectively.
- Conduct formal site HSE inspections and report weekly with Contractor Site Management, ensuring recommended actions are closed and reports are submitted to the Company.
- Stay informed of relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures within Hill International, ensuring continued compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- BSc degree in engineering or a relevant safety field.
- Minimum 8 years of HSE experience.
- At least 2 years of airport project experience.
- Must have NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma, ISO 45001 certification, ADOSH Practitioner.
- Experience in large international airport projects.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make decisions.
- Medium level of computer literacy.
- Provides guidance and mentors team members.
- Ability to work with others as part of a team.
- Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.
