Job summary

RIXOS Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Tailor to maintain and repair hotel uniforms and guest garments. You will perform stitching, alterations, and repairs, ensuring uniforms are fitted, neat, and ready for issuance to staff while upholding service standards.

Responsibilities include inspecting garments and linen for damage, operating industrial and domestic sewing machines, and coordinating with Uniform Room Attendant and Laundry to keep operations smooth and organized.

Qualifications

• High school certificate or vocational training in tailoring or garment construction.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Tailor, preferably in a hotel laundry or uniform room.
• Good knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, and fabric types.
• Experience operating industrial and domestic sewing machines.
• Previous experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform sewing, stitching, alterations, and repairs of hotel employees' uniforms.
• Attend to guest garment alteration and repair requests per service standards.
• Inspect garments and linen for damage and wear before repairs.
• Repair and maintain hotel linen such as bed sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers, tablecloths and napkins.
• Coordinate with the Uniform Room Attendant and Laundry to ensure smooth daily operations.
