Ennismore in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Tailor to perform sewing, alterations, and repairs of hotel employees' uniforms and linens. You will measure, fit, and ensure proper presentation of all uniforms, while maintaining records and coordinating with the Laundry team.

Candidates should have a high school certificate or vocational training in tailoring, plus at least 2 years' hotel tailoring experience. Knowledge of fabric types and operating industrial sewing machines is essential.

Qualifications

• High school certificate or vocational training in tailoring or garment construction.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Tailor, preferably in a hotel laundry or uniform room.
• Knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, and fabric types.
• Experience operating industrial and domestic sewing machines.
• Experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Perform sewing, stitching, alterations, and repairs of hotel employees' uniforms.
• Carry out hemming, resizing, button replacement, zipper replacement, patching, and other garment repairs.
• Attend to guest garment alteration and repair requests according to service standards.
• Ensure uniforms are properly fitted, neat, clean, and presentable before issue.
• Inspect garments and linen for damage, defects, stains, and wear before repairs.
• Repair and maintain hotel linen and textile items.
• Take accurate body measurements for uniform fitting.
• Operate and maintain sewing machines safely and efficiently.
• Complete tailoring work within turnaround times.
• Maintain records of alterations, repairs, and issued items.
• Coordinate with Uniform Room Attendant and Laundry team for smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and storage of tailoring materials.
• Monitor sewing supplies and report shortages.
• Follow hotel policies, procedures, health and safety standards.
• Handle guest garments and hotel uniforms with care and confidentiality.
