Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a senior events leader to develop and execute the resort's long-term events strategy, aligning with ultra-luxury positioning.

You will lead client relationships with UHNWIs and high-profile guests, coordinating with Sales, Marketing, and F&B to deliver flawless, high-touch events, from weddings to corporate retreats, while managing budgets and vendor partnerships.

The role requires strategic vision, leadership, and a passion for perfection.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Event Planning & Development: create and implement the resort's long-term events strategy aligned with ultra-luxury market goals.
• Client Relationship Management & VIP Liaison: manage the client lifecycle from inquiry to post-event follow-up with concierge-level service for VIPs.
• Operational Oversight & Event Execution: lead planning, coordination, and flawless execution of all resort-hosted events with cross-department collaboration.
• Financial Performance & Revenue Management: own event department budgets, forecasts, and profitability, including vendor contract negotiations.
• Leadership & Team Development: mentor and develop events team, conduct performance reviews and set objectives aligned with goals.
• Luxury Guest Experience Management: ensure events meet brand standards and create exclusive, tailored guest experiences.
• Vendor and Partner Relationship Management: build relationships with top-tier luxury vendors and negotiate favorable terms.
• Brand & Marketing Collaboration: partner with Marketing to promote capabilities and coordinate PR with high-profile collaborations.
• Innovation and Trend Analysis: monitor global luxury event trends and introduce cutting-edge concepts to maintain leadership.
• Sustainability and Social Responsibility: integrate eco-friendly practices and CSR initiatives into events.
