Job summary

HSBC UAE is seeking a Head of Retail Insurance, Process, Policy and Regulatory Development to lead the Payments function for WPB UAE. The role focuses on strategy, governance and digital journey improvement, with collaboration across Product, Operations, Technology, Risk and Compliance to meet regulatory requirements and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of retail payments and end-to-end payment lifecycle.
• Good understanding of UAE payment regulations and industry standards.
• Experience developing payment products, operating models and customer journeys, including digital channels.
• Proven ability to deliver multifunctional projects and influence stakeholders across functions.
• Strong results orientation across developed and developing markets.
• Full-time degree of at least three years is essential for UAE visa and work permit (external attestations for degrees outside UAE).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute UAE Payments strategy to improve adoption, volumes, service reliability and commercial performance.
• Own and maintain payments process framework with clear procedures and controls.
• Lead regulatory, policy and scheme change assessment and implementation with governance and communications.
• Improve payment journeys by simplifying processes and enhancing digital channels.
• Strengthen the control environment across operational, regulatory and financial risk areas.
• Lead and develop Payments, Process, Procedure and Regulatory Development teams for cross-functional delivery.
