Job summary

HSBC UAE is seeking a Performance & Reward Partner to embed performance management policy and support pay and benefits outcomes across the UAE. The role works with senior stakeholders to align reward approaches with business aims and values, including annual and off-cycle pay decisions and complex regulatory requirements.

You will oversee reward reporting, governance, and communication, ensuring competitive pay review cycles, well-governed policies and effective benefits design in a matrix

Qualifications

• Proven experience embedding performance management and reward policies in a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of compensation structures, job evaluation and market salary methodologies.
• Ability to navigate local regulatory requirements and translate changes into practical actions and stakeholder guidance.
• Experience in managing pay review cycles end-to-end including budgets governance and decision quality.
• Experience overseeing benefits plans and applying sound judgement to balance competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
• Ability to produce and communicate reward metrics for senior stakeholders and regulators.
• Strong data and analytical capability to enforce recommendations and strengthen decision-making.
• Operate effectively in a matrix structure through strong partnering and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Embedding performance management policy across the UAE in line with global standards and local requirements.
• Partnering senior business stakeholders and HR Generalists to align reward approaches with business aims and HSBC values.
• Reviewing existing reward programmes and supporting design of new programmes to keep them effective, compliant and competitive.
• Overseeing reward reporting and communications including reward metrics for senior stakeholders, consultancies and regulators.
• Manage the annual pay review cycle including budgets, eligibility checks, system readiness, stakeholder engagement and local rules.
• Provide robust inputs to pay review decisions on and off-cycle including FP ranges and market data.
• Oversee the benefits proposition ensuring competitive and cost-effective policies and day-to-day operations.
• Shape employee wellness and recognition propositions supporting implementation of related policies, strategies and activities.
• Interpret regulatory changes and partner with regulators on performance and reward requirements for the jurisdiction.
