Job summary

Pairs is seeking a business development leader to take over and scale the investor relations team responsible for connecting founders with family offices, VCs and strategic investors. You will lead a six-associate team reporting to both co-founders, coaching weekly, setting expectations, and driving measurable outcomes.

You’ll own the health of the network, align client success plans with investor relations, and push continuous improvement with a data-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a sales, business development or investment team of five or more for at least two years.
• Ability to coach, give direct feedback and uphold high standards.
• Proven ability to minimize politics and focus on results.
• Strong CRM discipline and ability to spot and remove bottlenecks.
• Understanding of incentives and retention to motivate teams.
• Long-term thinking with emphasis on quality over quantity in investor relationships.
• Experience selling high-ticket to senior buyers, raising capital, or building an investor network; venture capital or funds a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run the weekly rhythm, pipeline and CRM review with each associate.
• Coach each associate on calls and introductions.
• Hire, onboard and, when needed, let people go against clear standards.
• Own the health of the investor network, growing active members monthly.
• Align client success plans with investor relations efforts and founder relationships.
• Identify and fix bottlenecks with a process or engineering.
• Deliver weekly numbers, new active members, introductions sent, founder calls and referrals, and changes.
