Job summary

FIVE Hotels & Resorts in Dubai is seeking a Head Chef to lead culinary operations across world-class venues. You will supervise daily kitchen activities, curate menus, and ensure top-tier quality and consistency in presentation, taste, and service.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years as a Head Chef in luxury hotels, with strong leadership, HACCP discipline, and familiarity with pizza preparations. Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus.

Qualifications

A Culinary Degree or equivalent experience in a similar role is preferred.
3-5 years as Head Chef in a high-volume Luxury Hotel.
Proficient in Pizza preparation and cooking techniques; prior experience as a Pizzaiolo or similar role preferred.
Extensive knowledge of American or Pub Cuisine is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, fluent in English; additional languages such as Arabic, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Russian or Mandarin are a plus.
Experience in Forbes or Leading Quality Assurance (LQA)-Rated properties is advantageous.
Next-level organisational and leadership skills; lead and inspire the FIVE Tribe.
Exceptional time management and multi-tasking to oversee a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities

Assist the Executive Chef in supervising daily Culinary Operations at FIVE’s venues.
Conduct meetings with culinary teams to discuss directives and resolve issues.
Establish bespoke culinary standards for specialty kitchens and banqueting.
Plan and curate menus with artisanal recipes for tastings approved by the Executive Chef.
Inspect food stores and refrigeration four times daily to meet Health and Safety standards.
Monitor spoilage and manage inventory control to maintain quality.
