Job summary

RMS Insurance Brokers LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced General Manager - Employee Benefits to lead and grow the Employee Benefits portfolio within the UAE market.

You will drive new business opportunities, strengthen insurer relationships, and ensure excellent client servicing and retention through a high-performing team. A strong track record in Group Medical/Life and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in Employee Benefits within the UAE insurance brokerage industry, particularly Group Medical and Group Life.
• Proven track record in business development, revenue generation, corporate client management, and portfolio retention.
• Strong knowledge of the UAE group insurance market, insurer products, underwriting practices, and placement processes.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• CERT CII or progress towards a recognised insurance qualification will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business acquisition and revenue targets for Group Medical and Group Life.
• Develop new client relationships and expand the portfolio.
• Build strong relationships with corporate clients, HR professionals, decision-makers, and stakeholders.
• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across Employee Benefits.
• Oversee key corporate accounts and ensure high standards of client servicing.
• Drive client retention through proactive engagement, reviews, and renewal strategies.
• Handle escalated client issues and ensure timely resolution of service concerns.
• Ensure regular client meetings with planned actions and documented outcomes.
• Oversee quotations, market comparisons, negotiations, and placements for Group Medical and Group Life.
• Strengthen relationships with insurers and underwriters for competitive terms.
• Ensure renewals are initiated well in advance with market benchmarking.
• Review proposals, terms, and policy documentation for accuracy.
• Lead and develop the Employee Benefits team with clear responsibilities.
• Monitor performance against targets, budgets, and retention objectives.
• Provide guidance on complex placements, negotiations, and servicing matters.
• Establish workflows, monitor productivity, and ensure timely completion of activities.
