Reed Recruitment Middle East is seeking a Retail Trainer to drive development plans for staff across UAE stores. The role focuses on coaching from Individual Development Plans, closing learning journeys and delivering on-floor training in customer service, selling skills, product knowledge and standards.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years in retail with luxury exposure, a valid UAE driving license, and certifications in coaching and trainer accreditation.
Reed Recruitment Middle East is currently looking for a Retail Trainer for UAE Location.
The department on the shop floor, and the person who makes sure development plans actually get finished. Works from the Individual Development Plans of the colleagues in the assigned stores, coaches against exactly what those plans name, and drives every colleague through to a closed plan.
Working from the IDPs. Start every store visit from the Individual Development Plans of the colleagues in that store, so that floor time goes to the specific development areas already identified and agreed — prioritized with the Store Manager rather than spread thinly across general training.
Closing the learning journey. Drive every colleague through all three steps — learn, practice, evaluate — and make sure the Store Manager records the coaching and feedback in the system that closes the plan. Prompt, support and unblock Store Managers so that no colleague is left with an open plan.
On-floor delivery. Deliver training in store on customer service, selling, product knowledge, systems and standards.
Live coaching. Observe and coach during trading hours — including evenings, weekends and peaks, when the floor is under real pressure and coaching is worth the most.
In-store development check. Assess how the Store Manager or Store In-charge is developing their team, and feed that back to both the manager and the department.
Visit reporting. Complete a structured visit and observation report for every store — what was seen, what was agreed, who owns it and by when — and close prior actions before opening new ones.
New joiner readiness. Deliver on-floor onboarding after induction and confirm the new joiner is ready for the floor; support new store openings and brand launches.
Anchor day. One day a week at Head Office: consolidate reports, update the platform, plan the coming week's route with the Manager, and prepare materials.
Floor insight. Bring back what is landing and what is not, so that content is built from evidence rather than assumption.
Five plus years in retail, with a minimum of two on the shop floor in a selling or supervisory role or field coach role. Credible knowledge in a luxury category. Additional working languages of the floor are a genuine differentiator, not a bonus. Available for retail hours flexibility and regional rotation. Valid UAE driving license — mandatory.
Desirable certifications: CIPD Level 3, a coaching certification, an ILM train-the-trainer accreditation or equivalent.
