Title: Executive- R&D.Product Development-Personal Care

Job Summary

JM Product development and Project Management: Bring in the necessary skills and expertise to develop relevant formulation and processes for personal care products innovations and existing products especially soap bar, noodles, value engineering, private label etc. and deliver on time in full (OTIF) while meeting cost targets. Lead few NPD projects independently and supports projects through effective and efficient delivery of trials (and preliminary analysis of results), product, technical reports or communication. Contributes to the planning and executes trials, tests, measurement activities within projects. Should have strong willingness to work with the team and building interpersonal relationship for the faster project deliveries.

Roles & Responsibilities

Product development and Project Management

• Development of new products and processes based on the direction given by the supervisors and by applying his/her own experience and creativity.
• Supports projects through effective and efficient delivery of trials (and preliminary analysis of results), product, technical reports or communication.
• Leading Soap bar projects like Translucent/transparent, syndet, low cost bar etc.
• Pvt. Label projects handling and product development as per customer requirement.
• Contributes to the planning and executes trials, tests, measurement activities within projects.
• Make Hand Wash, Shampoo, Dish Wash products in R&D lab and conduct plant trial.
• Make bar soap batches in pilot plant.

Value Engineering and EPD

• Value engineering: Deliver assigned value engineering projects across sites on previously developed products.
• Existing Product Development to ensure the revamp of existing products as per the business brief and setting up the processes.

Product Evaluation & Instrument Handling

• Conduct evaluation of the product developed.
• Generate new technical claims based on the data and feed to marketing communication plan.
• Instrument handling Gas Chromatography, Viscometer, Spectrophotometer, etc.
• Define and propose technical specifications.
• Conduct GC analysis for the fatty acids, oils and finished product.
• Keep the lab and instrument up and running with on time calibrations etc.
• Develop new methods of analysis in coordination with QC chemists.
• Systematic documentation of the experimental results in the record books.

KPIs

• Ensure the timely delivery of EPD as per the agreed timelines with stakeholders

Product Evaluation & Instrument Handling

• Ensure the evalution of products agains benchmark.
• Ensure the technical claims of produtcs
• Ensure proper handling of lab instrument
• Ensure the good documentaion practice

Work experience requirement

• 4-7 years of working experience in Personal and Home care Category.
• Good Communciation Fluent in English, additional language skills are preferred.
• PC and Home care product development and RM/PM.
• Regulatory and Futuristic technologies inclination.
